Julie Shiflett has been elected by Columbia Paint & Coatings' Board of Directors to the position of vice president finance and administration, and corporate secretary/treasurer. Shiflett is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Eastern Washington University with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting; she also holds an MBA in technology management from the University of Phoenix and has been a certified public accountant since 1990. She has public accounting experience with the former Coopers & Lybrand office in Spokane, WA, from 1986 through 1993, and was most recently chief financial officer of Riley Creek Lumber Co., located near Sandpoint, ID. In addition to managing Human Resources, Information Systems, Credit and Collections, and General Accounting, Shiflett will be responsible for banking and insurance vendor relationships, as well as regulatory compliance issues related to asset and financial management.
