BATON ROUGE, La. - Deltech Properties has purchased the Newark, N.J.-based assets of Adco Chemical Co. Adco was the former manufacturing arm of UR-Cryl Polymer Corp. and Thibaut and Walker. Deltech Resins, an affiliate, recently acquired Ur-Cryl Polymer Corp., and Thibaut and Walker. Deltech now has a strong position in the New York-area resins markets.

UR-Cryl Polymer offers a line of urethane dispersions and acrylic emulsions. Thibaut and Walker products include oil-modified urethanes, medium- and long-oil alkyds, water-reducible alkyds, and acrylic emulsions.

Deltech Properties and Deltech Resins are members of the Deltech Companies, headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., which also include:

• Deltech Corp., a specialty monomers producer, which serves the coatings and unsaturated polyester resins markets;

• Deltech Polymers Corp., a specialty polymers producer located in Troy, Ohio;

• Deltech Europe Ltd., a coatings and unsaturated polyester resins producer located in Haverhill, UK; and

• NewChem Inc., a custom chemical manufacturer located in New Cumberland, W.Va.
