Grace Davison Increases Pigment Production by 50% in Germany

COLUMBIA, Md. - Grace Davison, a business unit of W.R. Grace & Co., has increased its production capacity for SHIELDEX® anti-corrosive pigments by more than 50% at its site in Worms, Germany. This increase will meet the anticipated demand for non-toxic, anti-corrosive pigments due to forthcoming legislation, which will require replacement of hazardous and toxic substances.

The SHIELDEX product line is an alternative to existing products such as Chrome (VI) compounds used in industrial coatings. In addition to being non-toxic, the products are also free of heavy metals.
