HAMMOND, IN -- HALOX, a division of the Hammond Group Inc., has acquired the IRGACOR organic corrosion-inhibitor business from Ciba Specialty Chemicals. Terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition includes coatings patents, manufacturing technology, associated research and development data, and the website located at www.corrosion-inhibitors.com. The acquired products will be marketed under HALOX trade names based on product chemistry and applications, the company said.
HALOX, based in Hammond, IN, is a supplier of anticorrosion and tannin stain-inhibitive products for paint and coatings.
