Hello to all! For those who haven't heard, let me introduce myself as the new executive director of The Electrocoat Association. I bring with me more than 12 years finishing experience and over 17 years professional business experience. I have formerly held a position on the marketing committee of the association and am excited to be involved in the industry and association again. I look forward to meeting many industry partners in the coming months.

It's an even year! The leading event for the electrocoating industry will be in full swing in just a few weeks. The Electrocoat 2006 Conference will be held at the Caribe Royale Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., April 19-21. This is a premier opportunity for participants to "rub elbows" with industry experts, to discuss new techniques and strategies for increasing efficiency, productivity and quality, and to obtain ideas for meeting the challenges of the future.

If you have never been to the conference...you need to register. It is an experience you will not want to miss. If you have been to the conference in past years, you will be happy with the actions we have taken from your ideas. To name a few, this year we've incorporated pre-conference workshops specifically targeting the needs of those new to the industry, finishing line managers and executives. Exhibit rooms are being utilized again this year but with extended hours. This way, attendees have more time to discuss specific issues or concerns with suppliers in a private room without the worry of being overheard by others. Finally, the educational content focuses on cost savings, return on your investment and new developments. All conference activities will be held on the hotel property, so once you're there, there is no need to leave!

We are confident that you will walk away from the conference with information you can immediately use in your company along with many new business contacts. This event is held just once every two years, so register today. We hope to see you there.
