Wacker Chemie AG has announced that Karl Heinz Weiss will step down as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting in May. At the same time, Peter-Alexander Wacker will step down from his function as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wacker Chemie AG and will run for the position of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Rudolf Staudigl will succeed Wacker as President and Chief Executive Officer, roles he will assume after the next Annual General Meeting. Staudigl has been a member of Wacker‘s Management Board since 1995. Weiss will continue to serve as the Speaker of the Board for WACKER’s majority shareholder.
