Kyowa Hakko Chemical to Expand Production Capacity

TOKYO, Japan – Faced with increasing global demand, Kyowa Hakko Chemical Co. will significantly expand oxidation production unit capacity of its line of fatty acids. Manufacturing is located at the company’s facility in Chiba, Japan.

When complete, the project will more than double production of the versatile acids, which are key ingredients in chemical and lubrication formulations worldwide.

According to the company, in addition to ensuring an uninterrupted source of product supply, the increased capacity will also contribute to price stabilization and enhanced customer service.

Plans call for the expansion to be completed by the end of 2011.
