The new business unit of The Dow Chemical Co. has been named Dow Microbial Control. With the combined resources of Dow Biocides and Rohm and Haas Biocides, the new Dow Microbial Control has a comprehensive offering available to help customers. Offerings include: innovative technologies and delivery methods with a high-performing, sustainable and well-supported portfolio of microbial control products; a team of experts in microbial control technologies; expertise and understanding of market-specific needs to provide answers to questions and problems; environmentally preferred products designed to meet evolving regulatory needs; and comprehensive resources available on a local level through regional customer application centers around the world.

Mark Henning has been named the General Manager of Dow Microbial Control. Henning joined Dow in 1983 as an Electrical Engineer at the Joliet, IL, manufacturing plant. In 1987, he moved to Polystyrene Films production at the Licking River Films Center in Hebron, OH. In 1993, Henning was named Project Manager of SAP implementation for the Films and Engineered Laminates business. He became Global Supply Chain Leader for Films and Engineered Laminates in 1994 and Global Business Director for Engineered Laminates in 1995. In 1998, Henning was promoted to Global Business Director for Performance Foams in the Fabricated Products business.
