Lion Technology Offers Training for New TSCA Requirements

WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. EPA last month made significant changes to its Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), increasing reporting responsibilities under the newly named Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) rule. Previously known as the Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) rule, the CDR rule has been updated to require chemical manufacturers and importers to report a broader range of data than before and to submit those reports more frequently. The threshold for mandatory reporting has changed, meaning many businesses that have never reported under TSCA will now be required to do so.

To help industry prepare for compliance with the more stringent requirements of the revised rule, Lion Technology Inc. will present its two-hour TSCA: Chemical Reporting and Recordkeeping Web Seminar on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. The seminar will cover the new recordkeeping and reporting requirements, when and how to submit reports to the EPA, an overview of exclusions and exempted activities, management standards for PCBs, and more. A complete schedule of Lion’s upcoming TSCA web seminars is available at www.Lion.com/NewTSCARules.
