The new DRYLOK® Extreme Masonry Waterproofer from United Gilsonite Laboratories (UGL) is a latex-based, low-odor, VOC-compliant formula that reportedly combines the superior waterproofing capabilities of the company's traditional waterproofing paint with a smoother finish through the addition of ceramic fillers. The product has been proven through independent laboratory testing to hold back 12 psi of water pressure - the equivalent of a wall of water 26 feet high. It comes with a 15-year, fully transferable warranty. The waterproofer includes FUNGITROL® 920, a “green,” EPA-registered, solvent-free, water-based fungicide from International Specialty Products Inc. (ISP) that guards the dry paint film against degradation, discoloration and defacement caused by mold and mildew, without adding any potentially hazardous elements into the mix.
