These pros are making headlines

The Flood Company, Hudson, Ohio, has promoted Bradley J. Aten to vice president of sales. Aten will be responsible for U.S. sales of the company's entire product line.

Jennifer Borton-Rupert has been promoted to director, controlling, for the Adrian, Michigan-based Wacker Chemical Corp. Borton-Rupert is responsible for directing the overall financial activities for the company.

Silberline, Tamaqua, Pa., has named Joseph P. Dowd as global president and CEO. Dowd joined Silberline as the executive vice president in 2001. In his new position, he will be responsible for directing all aspects of operational policies, objectives and initiatives.

Moyno, Inc., Springfield, Ohio, reports that Steve Geib has been appointed regional sales manager for the Northeast U.S. region. Geib will be responsible for all Moyno municipal and industrial sales in the region.

RAHN has appointed two new employees to its organization. David Helsby is now the technical director and will preside over the company's UV chemistry and two laboratories in Switzerland and the United States. John Braddock joins RAHN's technical sales force, taking responsibility for the U.S. Northeastern sales territory.

Gail Hutchinson, president and owner of Powdercoat Services, Inc., Anaheim, Calif., has been selected to join DuPont's Star Coater 20-Group. The members are non-competitive owners/managers who meet regularly to evaluate issues of importance to a custom coater's long-term success.

Mike Lewis has been named North American sales manager for ANGUS Chemical Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, and Dow Biocides, succeeding Greg Jorjorian who retired on May 31. Lewis assumes the sales manager responsibilities in addition to his current role as North American distribution manager.

U.S. Can Co., Lombard, Ill., has appointed Sarah Macdonald executive vice president of sales and marketing, expanding her current area of responsibility to include all global regions of U.S. Can's business.

Fusion UV Systems, Inc., Gaithersburg, Md., has promoted Susan Mitchell to marketing manager with responsibility for directing all marketing activities.

E. W. Kaufmann Company, Southampton, Pa., has appointed Ronald Pataky to the position of sales representative for the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Dave Quinn has joined the sales team for Hunter Associates Laboratory, Reston, Va. Quinn will represent HunterLab products and services in California, Nevada and Hawaii.

BASF, Florham Park, N.J., has named Fred P. Rullo to director of sales for BASF's Intermediates business in North America, where he will be responsible for all sales and customer service operations.

René Steiner is the new president of Bühler North America. He will have full responsibility as the CEO for the North American operation and will be responsible for the long-term strategy established by the corporate office.

Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, Middleboro, Mass., has appointed Len Thibodeau to the position of texture products manager. Thibodeau brings 30 years of instrumentation and analysis experience to this new position.

Degussa, Parsippany, N.J., has appointed Craig Vail regional sales manager for the company's Aerosil & Silanes business. Vail's responsibilities include sales of the company's AEROSIL® fumed silicas and organo-functional silanes, as well as managing distributors in the Western United States.

Brawn Mixer, Holland, Mich., hired Andrew Van Noord as applications engineer. He will be responsible for technical support to Brawn's field sales representatives.
