The black powder for electrostatic application processes can be applied with commercially available tribo and corona spray guns at relatively low coating film thicknesses, down to 40 µm. According to the company, the coating films offer excellent corrosion protection and good resistance to oil, grease, and chemicals. The coating’s mechanical properties, such as abrasion resistance and flexibility, make it useful for applications such as flexible drive shafts for sun roofs and shading systems in the automotive industry.
