MoreDES PLAINES, IL - The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Foundation recently announced a donation of $6,000 from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) toward a new BCSP Scholarship Fund within the ASSE Foundation.
The initial donation from BCSP will be applied toward the new BCSP-Glenn Daviet Scholarship, named in honor of Glenn D. Daviet, who passed away in July 2007. Daviet was serving as BCSP’s Secretary-Treasurer and had served as a BCSP Director for three years. The first $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student studying safety or a safety-related field.
