The Seventh International Coatings for Plastics Symposium and Exhibition will be held in Troy, MI, at the Michigan State Management Education Center on June 7-9. The symposium will focus on a variety of issues pertaining to coatings for plastics and present more than 20 technical papers.

The technical sessions will include a Monday morning plenary address by David Reed, material manager at General Motors Corp., speaking on "Trends and Challenges in Coatings for Automotive Plastics." On Tuesday, there will be a keynote by Rose Ryntz of Visteon Corp. and Phil Yaneff of DuPont Canada, jointly speaking on "Attaining Adhesion to Automotive Plastics."

A Monday luncheon talk by Jim Jakubowski of Bayer on "Meeting the Challenges of Today's Automotive Market Drivers," is also planned. Included in the technical sessions are topics that will address adhesion, formulation, environmental standards for coatings, and surface damage resistance.

New this year is a Sunday evening wine and cheese reception at the Troy Northfield Hilton, which will allow attendees to network prior to the formal start of the symposium, and a tutorial on "Colorant Effect on Molding and Aesthetics" presented by Ferro Corp. on Wednesday.

The symposium, organized by Technical Conference Management and sponsored by Paint & Coatings Industry magazine, will also host an exhibition of companies displaying their wares for the plastics industry on Tuesday evening. For further details, visit www.pcimag.com.
