MINNEAPOLIS - The Valspar Corp. has announced pricing increases for powder coatings products. Pricing changes will take effect for all shipments on or after July 15. The factors that drove the decision to raise prices include pressure on the supply chain for raw materials used in the manufacture of powder coatings products.

“With strong worldwide demand and limited supply of key raw materials, costs began to climb in late 2009 and have continued to escalate well into 2010," said Brian Falline, Group Vice President, General Industrial. “We expect to see ongoing pressure on raw material costs and tight availability of supply for the foreseeable future.
