NEW YORK – A sustainability conference sponsored by The Chemists' Club and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), in conjunction with New York University's Department of Chemistry will be held at NYU's Kimmel Center on February 6, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A panel of experts including Dr. Ana Persic (Science Specialist at UNESCO), Dr. Ingrid Mergelsberg (Director, Process Chemistry at Merck) and Jonathon Atwood (Vice President of Sustainable Living and Corporate Communications for Unilever North America), as well as others, will discuss sustainability in relation to the chemical process industries. Professionals from across the chemical process industries are expected to attend.

The event will include a reverse job fair for approximately 75 chemistry and chemical engineering students from six universities in New York City who have been selected to attend based on their academic standing. Industry professionals who attend will have ample opportunity to meet students and determine their potential for recruiting purposes.
