Lummus Technology and Synthomer announced a partnership under which Lummus will license Synthomer’s proprietary acrylic acid esters technology globally. The companies said the collaboration will meet rising demand for acrylate monomers used in adhesives, coatings, sealants and related high-performance applications.

“By joining forces with Synthomer, we are expanding our portfolio with a proven, high-value technology that meets growing global demand,” said Romain Lemoine, chief business officer at Lummus Technology. “We will be able to deliver a comprehensive and flexible solution to our customers while leveraging Synthomer’s decades of operational excellence and product knowledge.”

“This agreement marks a significant milestone for Synthomer’s acrylate monomers business,” said Rob Tupker, president, Health & Protection and Performance Materials and Asia, Synthomer. He said the platform offers flexibility across raw materials, including bio-based feedstocks, and will reach a broader market through Lummus’ licensing network.

The partnership will combine technology, licensing and lifecycle services to support project development, operations and product quality across regions.
