NEWARK, DE - AnCatt, Newark, DE, has developed an anti-corrosion coating platform using conductive polymer nano dispersion (CPND) to replace heavy-metal pigments such as chromate, lead and zinc. In a 13,000-hour salt-fog test, the coating platform produced no rusting or blistering. It is among the top 20 percent of earlier-stage innovations selected to receive this year’s TechConnect National Innovation Award.

Innovations selected for the award are ranked based on the positive impact they will have on a specific industry sector. AnCatt’s environmentally friendly anti-corrosion coating platform can provide corrosion protections for all sorts of metals in severe corrosive environments. It offers a range of potential coating applications such as powder, waterborne, high temperature and high solid. The coating platform is cost effective, lightweight and self-healing.
