The Latin American Coatings Show 2011 took place in the World Trade Center, Mexico City, Mexico, on July 13–14, 2011.
MEXICO CITY - The Latin American Coatings Show 2011 took place in the World Trade Center, Mexico City, Mexico, on July 13–14, 2011. The event attracted 3,667 attendees, an all-time record performance for the Latin American Coatings Show and proof that it is the leading exhibition and conference focusing on raw materials and equipment manufacturing of coatings and inks in Latin America.
The Latin American Coatings Show 2011 represented a 31 percent increase in attendance from the event in 2009. The show was packed full of features to educate and entertain. Highlights included the exhibition and the exhibitor business presentations.
The exhibitor business presentations were the most successful to date. Exhibitors and visitors took full advantage of this opportunity to discuss exhibitors’ products and services. The presentations were well received throughout, with each session completely full, leaving some visitors standing at the back.
Jesus Carrete Arredondo, Director Commercial at Watson Phillips, said, “We are extremely happy with the numbers of people at the show and visitors attending our stand. We made some excellent contacts and will definitely be exhibiting again in 2013.” This feeling was supported up by Winn Darden, Business Manager for AGC Chemicals, who was very impressed with the quality of contacts his company made at the show.
Following many exhibitors rebooking on site for the next Latin American Coatings Show in 2013, Ian Faux, Coatings Group Vice President, reflected on the thriving coatings market in Mexico and the importance of the Latin American Coatings Show within it. “LACS ‘11 has built on the success of the 2009 show and delivered another record turnout. This reinforces the Latin American Coatings Show’s reputation as the most important event for the Latin American region. I am very excited about its return in 2013,” said Faux.
