Clariant has transferred its product range of Licomer® wax emulsions and acrylic polymer dispersions for floor care applications to Michelman Inc.
MUTTENZ, Switzerland – Clariant has transferred its product range of Licomer® wax emulsions and acrylic polymer dispersions for floor care applications to Michelman Inc. The sale was completed on November 11, 2011. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Licomer dispersions are aqueous polymer and wax dispersions for the manufacture of dry-bright emulsions intended especially for the care of floors. The range includes dispersions based on acrylates and styrene-acrylate copolymers and specialty wax emulsions. Clariant will continue to sell and service the Licomer line in Central and South America and the Caribbean under a trademark license from Michelman.
The divestment is part of Clariant’s strategy to focus on its core business in solid waxes with the global brands of Licowax®, Licolub®, Licocene®, Licomont®, and Ceridust® specialty waxes and performance polymers.
