BASF Automotive Refinish, Mount Olive, NJ, announced the opening of a new Regional Training Centre in Toronto, a facility that will be used to conduct training programs related to collision-repair painting processes. The company now operates 11 auto-refinish training centers in the NAFTA region, including two in Canada, seven in the United States and two in Mexico. Separately, the company said it has committed $250,000 to become a charter member of the Automotive Management Institute’s EXCEL 2000 program. The program is a partnership between the institute and automotive-service industry companies designed to encourage the development of business management education programs.
