ZWOLLE, The Netherlands - DSM Coating Resins announced an agreement to acquire the Hüttenes-Albertus Lackrohstoffe (HAL) coatings-resins business of Hüttenes-Albertus Chemische Werke GmbH of Düsseldorf, Germany. Terms were not disclosed.
The acquired business has annual sales of approximately 15 million euros and offers a range of resin products.
Don Verstegen, Business Group director, DSM Coating Resins, said the acquired business holds "a specialist position in waterborne resins for industrial applications, and we intend to grow this business." He said the acquisition "fits with our strategy of strengthening our position in coating resins for industrial applications."
