BLUE BELL, Pa. - The Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT) has announced that FSCT Past-President Thomas E. Hill, president and CEO of The Coatings Alliance, has been named the 2005 recipient of the organization's highest honor - the George Baugh Heckel Award.

Hill served the FSCT as its president from 1997 to 1998. A member of the organization's board of directors, he also served on the Executive Committee, Finance Committee and Nominating Committee. During his tenure as president, he lent significant effort to the development of the organization's first strategic plan.

Presentation of the Heckel Award was made at the Opening Session of the Federation's 83rd Annual Meeting on November 6 in Las Vegas.
