PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - The Keynote Address at FutureCoat! 2008 will be given by John Mikan, President of Experien Health Sciences Inc. Mikan's presentation will ask, "Is the Coatings Industry Heading Towards Increased Chemical Regulation Here in the U.S. in the Wake of EU's REACH Regulation?" It will examine the likelihood of REACH-type regulations being adopted in the United States and Canada, the timing of such regulations, and the implications for the coatings industry.
John Mikan is President of Experien Health Sciences Inc., a consulting firm specializing in regulatory toxicology, occupational health and product stewardship for clients in the United States, Europe and Canada. His firm has been following the REACH regulation since 2003 and has been preparing for its entry into force since early 2004.
