LANXESS Moves Inorganic-Pigment Blending Operations

PITTSBURGH - LANXESS Corp., manufacturer of synthetic rubber, engineered thermoplastics and chemical intermediates, has moved its inorganic-pigment blending operations from Imperial, Pa., to a new custom-built facility at Starpointe in Washington County, Pa.

The facility was specifically configured to fulfill LANXESS's blending needs, contributing to operational savings through optimum raw-material flow and more-efficient production. Additionally, LANXESS is able to retain its current workforce of 20 people due to the relative proximity of the new site to both the old site and the LANXESS Corp. headquarters building in Findlay Township.
