at the National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA) Board of Directors
meeting, a representative from the Federation of Societies for Coatings
Technology presented a proposal for merging the two organizations.
NPCA President Andy Doyle stated, "I am very happy to report that the boards of both organizations have endorsed and agreed to begin a merger process that will lead to a final proposal by March 2008. Assuming we are able to agree to a merger, ICE will be cancelled and combined with the 2008 American Coatings Show (ACS)."
