Hosokawa Alpine introduced the Alpine Dual Mill (ADM) classifier mill for ultra-fine powder production in chemical and food applications. The ADM combines advantages of the ACM and ZPS series and supports three classifier wheel geometries to match specific fineness targets. It achieves single-digit µm top sizes with d97 below 7 µm, operates with low pressure loss, and is designed for energy-efficient grinding. A cleanable layout supports changeovers between products. The ADM will be available in four sizes, including variants for very fine and medium-fine products. According to Hosokawa Alpine, the design delivers higher throughput at the same installed drive power compared with ACM and ZPS models.
