Centrifugal Pin Mill Expands Coarse-to-Fine Grinding Capability

Munson Machinery introduced the Centrifugal Impact Mill, model CIM-34-MS, for grinding friable solids, reducing flakes and de-agglomerating materials without screens. High-speed rotation accelerates feed across intermeshing pin rows to produce tight particle size distributions while constant airflow helps keep material cool. Rotor speed is infinitely variable from several hundred rpm to 5,400 rpm for coarse reduction or fine grinding to 325 mesh. The 34 in. unit features smooth interiors and hinged access for rapid cleaning, with additional diameters of 8, 18 and 24 in. and power options from 5 to 125 hp. Typical uses include pigments, powdered metals and ceramic media, with sanitary models for food and pharma. Learn more at munsonmachinery.com.
