FRANKFURT, Germany - Celanese AG completed the acquisition of Clariant AG's European emulsions and global emulsion powders business. The value of the transaction was valued at 147 million euros when announced in September 2002.
The acquired business will become part of Celanese's Acetyl Products segment, and includes products for coatings, adhesives, textiles, and other markets. The acquired business will operate under the name Celanese Emulsions.
