PPG Industries Inc., Pittsburgh, said it has discontinued its longtime sponsorship agreement with Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) for the 2000 racing season. The move reflects changes in PPG's business portfolio and an expansion of activities in the aerospace, industrial and packaging-coatings segments.
