  • Charles E. Bennett, CEO of Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP), Kansas City, Mo., has announced the appointment of Marcel de Wolf as vice president, Coatings Resins Group. de Wolf's responsibilities will include CCP's emulsion, powder and additives businesses, as well as its polymer activities.

  • Wolstenholme International Inc., West Chicago, Ill., has made the following management changes: Henry Brooks has been appointed president of Wolstenholme International Inc. John Erbeck has been promoted to business development manager for Carbon Black Dispersions and is also Wolstenholme USA's international sales manager, overseeing the territories of Mexico, Central America and South America. Mark Dingledein has been promoted to technical manager, Oil Based Carbon Black Dispersions. Dave Barlog has been promoted to production manager for Wolstenholme USA and is now responsible for coordinating the daily production schedules of the company's oil black dispersion plant, water black dispersion plant, ink manufacturing plant and shipping. Cris LaBarre has been promoted to Wolstenholme USA's supply chain and purchasing manager.

  • Linetec, Wausau, Wis., has constructed a new laboratory to match and blend a wider variety of colors and paints for its architectural and commercial customers. To oversee the lab's construction, organization and operation, Linetec has promoted Dale Burford to technical manager and environmental engineer.

  • Darrell Christopher has joined the North America Performance Chemicals and Biocides sales team of International Specialty Products Inc. (ISP), Wayne, N.J., as key account manager for the Midwest region. He reports directly to Pierre Varin, ISP's North America sales director for Performance Chemicals and Biocides.

  • Omya Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., has added Jim Cwik as a regional sales manager for its Paint, Coatings and Adhesives Group. Cwik will be responsible for the Midwest region in support of Omya's ground calcium carbonate business.

  • Michael C. Ferrara has retired from his positions of CEO and member of the board, and Thomas J. Vacchiano Jr. has become president/CEO and member of the board of directors of X-Rite, Inc., Grandville, Mich. Vacchiano was the president/CEO of Amazys Holding AG before the acquisition by X-Rite in July 2006.



  • Troy Corp., Florham Park, N.J., has named Mark Gwillim as president/CEO. Gwillim will be responsible for all aspects of operations worldwide and will have profit/loss responsibility. Troy has also appointed Dr. Izzy Colon general manager for its operations in Europe.

  • Dr. Bernhard Hackl has been named vice president, Performance Materials, WACKER SILICONES business division. Hackl was formerly director, supply chain management, Business Unit Elastomers, WACKER SILICONES. Hackl will be based at the North American headquarters office in Adrian, Mich., and will have management responsibility for the company's Kelmar Division located in Duncan, S.C.

  • Sartomer Company, Exton, Pa., named Brian Kendall plant manager of Sartomer's Chatom, Ala., facility. Kendall is responsible for all plant operations and reports directly to Edward J. Ogle, recently appointed manager of metallic monomer manufacturing at the company's Stratford, Conn., and Chatom, Ala., facilities.

  • Craig Lampani, president/CEO of Randolph Products Co., Chicopee, Mass., has announced the appointment of Jules Hermele as director of technologies for the company's military, anti-slip and specialty coatings.

  • United Mineral & Chemical Corp., Lyndhurst, N.J, has appointed Jennifer Marques sales associate covering the St. Louis/Kansas City region. Marques' sales responsibilities will cross all division lines including daylight fluorescent, phosphorescent and organic pigments, along with products from the Chemicals Division.

  • NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, LLC, Exton, Pa., has promoted Frank Warburg to national sales manager, USA and Canada. Warburg is responsible for growing the customer base throughout the United States and Canada for NETZSCH's grinding division.

  • Stewart Williams, Ph.D., recently named technical director of the Rohm and Haas Paint Quality Institute (PQI), Spring House, Pa., will develop and manage PQI's technical initiatives, including material for the training of painting contractorså and paint sales personnel, PQI website content, paint-specifier seminars, and other initiatives in support of quality painting.
