CLEVELAND - Noveon Inc. said it has acquired certain assets, technology and other intellectual property from CDI Dispersions, Newark, NJ, and announced plans to expand manufacturing capacity at its Noveon Hilton Davis subsidiary in Cincinnati.

Noveon said the acquisition and the expansion of its Cincinnati site reflect the company's "aggressive growth strategy" and its plans to expand its dispersions product line. Noveon Hilton Davis is a supplier of colors and dispersions for coatings and other industrial markets. The expansion program, which includes the addition of specialized milling and grinding equipment, is scheduled to get under way immediately and be completed during the first quarter of 2003.
