PITTSBURGH – PPG Industries has acquired Vanex, Inc., of Mount Vernon, IL. Vanex is a supplier of the Plascron® and Breakthrough® brand water-based industrial coatings for use on metal, plastic and wood in the structural steel, building systems, construction and fabricated metals industries. It operates one manufacturing facility in Mount Vernon and employs approximately 20 people.
