The new Model D500 cartridge-type dust collector from Guyson Corp. is designed to provide improved performance and convenience for users of industrial blasting cabinets. The unit has a footprint 23 inches wide and 34.25" deep, with a height of 79.5" (202 H x 58 W x 87 cm D). Its nonferrous blower assembly is powered by a 1.5 hp (1.1 kW) TEFC motor and generates air extraction capacity of 500 cfm (14 m3/min.). The system uses a pleated paper filter cartridge with 226 ft2 of filter area. The filter is pre-treated with flame retardant and is factory pre-coated to yield an average efficiency of 99.9% for particles of 0.5 microns or larger. No run-in period is required for the filter to reach full efficiency.
