MINNEAPOLIS - Colwell Industries Inc., a supplier of color-sampling materials, has acquired the color-card operations of Communisis plc, also known as McCorquodale Color Card Co.

The acquired company is based in Leeds, UK, with North American operations located in Toronto and Montreal and in Whiteford, MD.

Colwell Industries said the purchase expands its capabilities in the decorating-products industry and adds capabilities in the automotive and cosmetic industries.
