HULL, UK - Holliday Pigments, manufacturer of ultramarine blue pigments, beat off competition from across the UK to win the Sustainable Development Award. Holliday Pigments has invested over $30 million in flue gas desulphurization plants at its Hull and Comines' (North France) sites, which has resulted in massive reduction of sulfur dioxide emissions inherent in its manufacturing processes. Innovative solutions have also been developed leading to waste minimization, energy efficiency and water savings.
