- Ultramarine Blue Pigments

- Ceramic Microspheres
3M: 3M Ceramic Microspheres replace conventional paint fillers, such as calcium carbonate, in decorative household paints. The ceramic additive is spherical, as opposed to other fillers, which are irregularly shaped. The paint produces a harder surface that is less susceptible to chipping and abrasion. The shape of the filler also allows for tighter packing, creating a smoother surface. Paints containing the microspheres produce a flat, matte finish, while providing a level of soil and stain resistance typically associated with using a gloss or semi-gloss paint. The finishes are easier to clean than conventional flat paints, because they can be scrubbed without burnishing, an effect that causes an unsightly change of sheen.
