LOS ANGELES – Karl Altergott has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Dunn-Edwards Corp., a manufacturer of architectural paints in the Southwest. According to Ken Edwards, CEO, Altergott has an extensive management background, most recently serving as CEO of Rincon Industries, a precision metal fabrication and data center equipment company.
 
Altergott began his career as an engineer, working for RBF Consulting, a civil engineering firm. He then joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served eight years, with roles as an Operations Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor and AV-8B Pilot. He has served in executive management roles at Rain Bird Corp., a leading irrigation company, and at BMK LLP.
 
Altergott succeeds Dennis Kromer, who retired at the end of 2008. Kromer spent 17 years at Dunn-Edwards as CFO and more recently as President. He was instrumental in Dunn-Edwards’ steady growth throughout the Southwest.
