IRVINE, CA - HORIBA Instruments Inc., Irvine, CA, has renewed its alliance with the Center for Innovative Sintered Products (CISP) at Penn State University through the donation of its Partica LA-950V2 analyzer.

For many years, CISP used the HORIBA LA-920 for studies involving ceramics, stainless steel alloys and tungsten powders. Now the center will have the use of the most advanced laser diffraction particle-size analyzer, the HORIBA LA-950, to use for its groundbreaking research and development. The upgraded donation was made to the university in March of this year.

The HORIBA Scientific group provides state-of-the-art microanalysis, nanotechnology and spectroscopy tools to industry and academia to assist in the next generation of new discoveries.
