SHANGHAI, China - On Nov 18-20, 2009, the 14th edition of the CHINACOAT series of exhibitions was held in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China. About 760 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions participated in the three-day show, of which 191 were first-time exhibitors. At the closing of the show, a total of 24,369 visitors registered to attend, with the total number of international visitors far exceeding expectations. A total of 3,098 international visitors attended the event, an increase of 30 percent from 2008.

 

Visitors and exhibitors benefited from a series of technical programs, including a conference titled “Automotive Finishes,” two technical workshops on formulation of coatings and inks, two national presentations from the Philippines and Thailand, and a series of 42 product-based technical seminars.

 

Over 60 percent of exhibitors have already signed up to exhibit in CHINACOAT2010, which will be staged in the city of Guangzhou, China, on Nov. 15-17, 2010. Guangzhou, together with its neighboring cities, is an important manufacturing base for coatings and printing inks in China.
