HORGEN, Switzerland – The Dow Chemical Co. announced a capacity increase of 15 percent at the company’s acrylic dispersion plant in Villers-Saint-Paul, France. Construction work began this month and production start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012. It is expected that the plant will reach its full capacity for manufacture of polyacrylic acid products at the beginning of 2013.

The capacity upgrade at Villers-Saint-Paul will benefit customers who are seeking innovative binder technology to use in applications such as high-performance nonwovens. Additionally, it will focus on fast-growing applications in the thermal insulation and concrete admixture market.
