 Nano-materials company Semblant Ltd. has launched the PlasmaShield™ plasma conformal coat process to deliver environmental protection without the expense associated with material costs or manufacturing complexity. 

 Diamond-like coatings create super-hard surfaces (greater than 40 Gpa) with a low coefficient of friction and excellent coating adhesion. 

 To give the bridge a high-gloss finish and protect the structure from the harsh Cleveland elements, Sherwin-Williams will supply Macropoxy 646, an epoxy intermediate coating, and HP DOT Acrylic Polyurethane, a high-gloss topcoat in off-white, for the project. 

The unsurpassed brilliance, pronounced flop effect, gloss and opacity of vacuum metalized aluminum pigments allows coatings formulators to produce dynamic chrome effects.

 Independent corrosion tests have shown this is a successful conductive polymer-based anti-corrosion coating technology and the first non-chromate coating that has out-performed hexavalent chromate coatings. 

New products are being developed to meet the challenge of delivering low- and zero-VOC offerings, including specialty resins, coalescents/plasticizers, water-based and energy curable colorants, foam control and silicone products.

CERAM-A-STAR® E is a new solution with proven durability and ease of application that meets American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) 2604 specifications. Designed for the high-end residential, storefront and monumental interiors market, this product offers a lower-cost alternative to 50 percent PVDF and super-durable polyester powders.

NEI has developed a chromate-free conversion coating for magnesium alloys that independently provides exceptional corrosion resistance and also improves adhesion with an overlying paint layer (primer).
