Resinate Materials Group Names New CEO
PLYMOUTH, MI - Resinate Materials Group announced that Brian Chermside has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in addition to his current role as company President. In this expanded role, Chermside will focus on driving operational excellence across company functions, in addition to managing corporate governance and strategy. Chermside has served on Resinate’s board of directors since 2015.
In a related move, Resinate founder Brian Phillips has assumed the position of Executive Chairman of the Board for Resinate Materials Group. As Executive Chairman, Phillips will focus on advancing Resinate’s vision through exploration and incubation of new process innovation.
“Brian Chermside came to Resinate with extensive leadership experience in the chemicals industry,” said Phillips. “Over the past two years, he has developed operational excellence across all business functions, in addition to leading strategic planning for our specialty chemicals business. I am thrilled to have Brian assume the CEO position and excited for the future of Resinate.”
In addition to the moves of Phillips and Chermside, Resinate recently announced the appointment of Rick Tabor as Resinate’s Chief Technology Officer and Kris Weigal as Resinate’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Prior to joining Resinate, Chermside worked at Dow Corning, where he served in executive leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the United States. While at Dow Corning, he also held several global leadership positions, including Corporate Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
Chermside will continue to be located at Resinate’s Plymouth, MI, headquarters.
