WAUKEGAN, IL — AB Specialty Silicones, Waukegan, Illinois, has completed a plant expansion in a continuing effort to meet the growing needs of the silicone marketplace. At the center of the project is a new reactor that increases the company’s annual specialty fluid production capabilities. To accommodate the manufacturing gain, storage for raw materials and finished products have also tripled in capacity.

With more improvements planned for 2018, AB Specialty Silicones continues to invest in the Waukegan plant in order keep up with the company’s growth and the increasing demand for silicone raw materials worldwide. Aside from production, the location also houses a research and development laboratory specializing in custom silicone development and over 200,000 square feet of warehouse space.
