WINTERTHUR, Switzerland — With the recent formal incorporation of coatingAI AG, the business is firmly on track in its mission to support customers in the coating industry by leveraging the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) for process automation. Based in Winterthur, Switzerland, the team at coatingAI is harnessing advanced computer vision and machine learning technologies to deliver a new solution for coating industry customers. The deployment of coatingAI removes any ambiguity when defining the optimal machine parameters. Following a program of intensive R&D, the first coatingAI prototype was tested in January, and training data analysis is currently underway, with field trials scheduled to begin later this year. The global launch of the final product is expected in mid-2022.
