HIS Paint Manufacturing announced the appointment of Mike Black as chief executive officer, effective June 23. He reports directly to Joe Cox, chairman of the board.
Black most recently served as director of commercial sales at Sherwin-Williams and previously held the role of vice president of sales operations at Kelly-Moore Paints. He brings more than two decades of sales and operations experience in the coatings industry.
“Mike has a proven track record of leading regional teams within the paint industry and creating proven sales strategies that expand the market share of each region he has led,” said Cox. “His ability to align diverse teams and drive results will be key in advancing our strategic plan.”
Black said his past work has included brokering paint formulation in Vietnam and overseeing sales and operations at Kelly-Moore as the first non-owner in that role.
“I am excited to join HIS Paint Manufacturing at such an important time in its history, as it continues its expansion,” he said. “Each one of my career achievements has prepared me for the opportunity which lies ahead.”
