Silsurf^® Bio series are derived from plant-based carbon and have increased sustainability relative to our successful silicone polyether coatings additives. The organic portion, which represents 1/3 to 2/3 of the weight of each product, is derived from sugar cane instead of petroleum feedstock. The remaining silicone portion of the molecules is primarily derived from minerals. We have shown the Silsurf -Bio and the corresponding standard products perform the same within standard deviations to each other.
