Founded in 1926 in Orange City, Iowa, the company manufactures both liquid and powder coatings sold under the brands of Diamond Vogel, Old Masters and Van Sickle. Diamond Vogel operates a network of eight manufacturing facilities shipping coatings throughout North America and 40 company-owned stores located in 11 midwestern states.Notes:In October 2021, Diamond Vogel broke ground on a 36,000-square-foot Innovation Center that will provide state-of-the-art laboratory and office space that will allow up to 60 research and development scientists to collaborate on improvements and advancements to its extensive lines of paints and coatings. In June 2021, Diamond Vogel introduced Palisade Ultra Premium Exterior Acrylic Latex Finish, an architectural coating designed for use by both professional painting contractors and homeowners. Also in 2021, Van Sickle Paint, a division of Diamond Vogel, launched an updated e-commerce website that enables customers to purchase tractor restoration and other ag-related coatings directly from the company.
