Vencorex Invests in Specialty Aliphatic Polyisocyanates Facility
Vencorex is investing in its site in Freeport, Texas, to meet the rising demand for specialty aliphatic isocyanates used in the production of low-VOC polyurethane coatings and adhesives. The kick-off ceremony for the investment project, part of the Vencorex growth strategy in North America, took place in June 2022 in the presence of several executive members of Vencorex and its shareholder, PTT GC Group. The new facility is expected to become operational in the second half of 2023.
“This project will bring additional supply reliability to fulfill the growing demand for specialty aliphatic polyisocyanates in the U.S. market,” said Xavier Fournier, president of Vencorex. “It shows our commitment to enhancing regional production.”
“It also contributes to strengthening Vencorex’ position in the North American market to better serve our customers with local sourcing of specialty materials,” said Jason Williams, sales director, North America at Vencorex US, Inc.
