LOS ANGELES - The lingering smell of a recently painted room is a thing of the past with Dunn-Edwards' newest product, Ecoshield™, a line of paint that emits very little odor. The paint was developed for projects where indoor air quality is a concern, such as schools, hospitals, hotels, homes and other closed-ventilation buildings.

"Paint odor is caused by the type of resin a paint contains and the amount of solvents added," said Robert Wendoll, director of environmental affairs, Dunn-Edwards. "Since Ecoshield uses a special resin that has a very low odor and doesn't contain any of the solvents added to conventional waterborne paints, it has less paint smell."
